Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Fisher Eye Associates the leading provider of vision care products and services in Oviedo.
Dr. David Fisher is originally from Indiana, attended Indiana University in Bloomington and graduated in 1993 with a chemistry degree. Later he attended Nova Southeastern College of Optometry, Fort Lauderdale, FL and received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1998. Dr. Fisher received primary care training at Nova Southeastern University Eye Center Broward County Clinic including experience with refractive conditions, contact lens fitting/assessment, and general ocular disease. Specialty experience was obtained for contact lenses, low vision, binocular vision and pediatrics through the Palm Beach, Broward and Dade County clinics. He received tertiary care experience at the Eye Centers of South Florida which emphasized glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, general retinal disease, ocular plastic surgery, neuro-ophthalmology, pre- and post- cataract surgery. He is married to Dr. Holly Fisher with two daughters. He enjoys travel, tennis, basketball, and boating.
Dr. Holly Fisher
Dr. Holly Fisher is from upstate New York, went to SUNY Oswego, and graduated in 1993 with a BA in Chemistry. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree at SUNY College of Optometry, New York, New York. She gained tertiary care experience at the Capital Eye Consultants and Castle Point VA Hospital. Primary care, contact lens, low vision services, binocular vision, and pediatrics training was done at the State University of New York College of Optometry. After Optometry School she completed a residency in primary care and ocular disease at Nova Southeastern College of Optometry, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She is married to Dr. David Fisher and has two daughters. She enjoys travel, family time, boating, and tennis.
Dr. Ray Deschenaux
Dr. Descheneaux is a board certified, residency trained Optometric Physician. After studying Bio-medical Engineering, Dr. Descheneaux attended The New England College of Optometry and graduated in the top 5% of his class. After graduation, he completed a hospital based residency in ocular disease and surgical comanagement. Dr. Descheneaux is a member of the American Optometric Society, Florida Optometric Society, Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and member of Beta Sigma Kappa (and academic honor society.) Dr. Descheneaux lives in south Seminole county with his wife, two young sons and young daughter.
Dr. Kate Lanier
Dr. Kate Lanier graduated with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Biology and Psychology. In 2007, she graduated with honors from the University of Alabama School of Optometry. She completed a primary care and ocular disease residency at the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina. She obtained her Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry in 2008. After residency, she joined Carolina Family Eye Care, an advanced private practice in Charlotte, North Carolina where she practiced for five years until relocating to Cambridge, United Kingdom where she was involved in research, writing, and teaching at Anglia Ruskin University. She has been a contributor for KMK Educational Services and Optometry Today. After moving to Florida, she joined Fisher Eye Associates in the fall of 2016. On a personal note, Dr. Lanier is married with three young children. She enjoys being involved in her church, River Oaks Presbyterian, and running.
